Chef Yiannis Babalis

Giannis Bampalis is an accomplished chef with more than 18 years of experience in the field of gastronomy. His relationship with cooking began in his childhood, through the flavors and aromas of his mother’s and grandmother’s kitchen—an inspiration that remains alive in every one of his creations.

His professional journey has taken him to various parts of the world, such as France, Austria, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, and Australia, where he had the opportunity to refine his craft and showcase Greek cuisine on an international level. Through these experiences, he has shaped a unique culinary identity that combines authentic tradition with modern techniques and creative influences.

Today, at “Synaxis” tavern, he continues to create with the same passion and dedication, offering dishes that highlight the essence of Greek hospitality and authentic flavor.
